Islamic education in Modern World

Allah (SWT) has chosen the prophet Muhammad (SAW) to deliver a universal message to mankind. Islamic education has two important basis of teachings. The first is the Holy Quran, which is revealed to Prophet (SAW) by Allah (SWT) through the Angel Jibreel (A). The second is the teachings of the Prophet (SAW) that are divinely directed.  Its obligatory for every believer to learn Islam to become a Muslim. Prophet Muhammed (SAW) teachings were organized after his wafath and formalized as Madrasa education. Islamic education through Madrasas has been the main course of gaining Islamic knowledge.

However, due to geographical and time constraints, it becomes difficult for today's Muslims to attend Islamic education through traditional Madrasa. With the migration of Muslims to different parts of the world, it became essential for Islamic education to be delivered in modern methods using technology. Two decades back the technological advancement (especially in communication) was not as concrete as it is today, with Muslims migrating and connectivity issues, many Muslim families had to forego Islamic education in the early 2000s.

However, due to easier and faster connectivity, it has become easy and convenient for any Muslim anywhere to get Islamic education. Technology-enabled Islamic education has exponentially grown in the past 3-5 years.

With the help of new technologies, the education system has been subjected to a lot of innovations in its curriculum and teaching pedagogy.

Activity-based curriculum with interactive classes has brought better understanding of Islamic idealogy and practices. This deep understanding of Islam is essential in today's 'logic-driven' and fast-paced technological world.
